Banana Bread Recipe

Bananas are definitely one of greatest fruits we’ve been blessed with by the earth especially because, just when you think they’re really bad and not edible, you can transform them into a tasty, mouth watering dessert or snack. Below is our family recipe for Banana Bread! We hope it brings great smells and full bellies to your home.
Recipe Makes:
1 bread/loaf pan (8.5"x4.5")

Baking Soda |

Baking Powder |

Chocolate Chips/Nuts (Optional) |

Baking Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 350 F
- Mash bananas into a puree.
- In a large bowl combine and whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl mix together butter and sugar until it becomes a smooth cream.
- Add and combine oil to cream mixture.
- Add and combine eggs, one at a time, to the cream mixture.
- Add and combine mashed bananas to the cream mixture.
- Add and combine half of the mixed dry ingredients to the cream mixture.
- Add buttermilk to mixture.
- Add remaining portion of dry ingredients to mixture.
- Once batter is mixed well, any additional mix-ins (ie. chocolate chips, nuts) can be mixed in.
- Pour batter into greased bread/loaf pan and bake for approx. 1 hour.
- The banana bread will be fully baked when you can poke a toothpick or fork into the middle and have it come out clean.
- Let cool for about 20 minutes before digging in (this is the hardest part!)
