Banana Bread Recipe

Banana’s are definitely one of greatest fruits we’ve been blessed with by the earth especially because, just when you think they’re real bad and not edible, you can transform it into a tasty, mouth watering dessert or snack. Below is our family recipe for Banana Bread! We hope it brings great smells and full belly’s to your home.

Recipe Makes:

1 bread/loaf pan (8.5"x4.5") 

Ingredient

Banana’s

3 Large

Butter

1/4 cup

Sugar

3/4 cup

Oil

1/4 cup

Buttermilk

1 tbsp

Egg

Celebrate, gluten free All Purpose Flour Mix

1 3/4 cup

Baking Soda

1 tsp

Baking Powder

1/2  tsp

Salt

1/2 tsp

Chocolate Chips/Nuts (Optional)

1/2 cup

 

Baking Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 F
  2. Mash bananas into a puree.
  3. In a large bowl combine and whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl mix together butter and sugar until it becomes a smooth cream.
  5. Add and combine oil to cream mixture.
  6. Add and combine eggs, one at a time, to the cream mixture.
  7. Add and combine mashed bananas to the cream mixture.
  8. Add and combine half of the mixed dry ingredients to the cream mixture.
  9. Add buttermilk to mixture.
  10. Add remaining portion of dry ingredients to mixture.
  11. Once batter is mixed well, any additional mix-ins (ie. chocolate chips, nuts) can be mixed in. 
  12. Pour batter into greased bread/loaf pan and bake for approx. 1 hour.
  13. The banana bread will be fully baked when you can poke a toothpick or fork into the middle and have it come out clean.
  14. Let cool for about 20 minutes before digging in (this is the hardest part!)
